Fundraising Overview

21st Century Leaders leverages the support of its 21st Century Leaders for high profile fundraising activities worldwide.

Achievements to date include:

Gathering the unique artworks of hope for the 21st Century, simple self portraits and signed messages of hope from over 750 Leaders celebrated in their field, now professionally valued at $1,516,660. (Dec 2002 to date)

Launching Whatever It Takes, a charitable brand and global ethical product campaign, with now over 178 products in over 105 international retailers across 40 markets worldwide raising $11.8 million in royalties to date for 21st Century Leaders. (June 2005 to date)

Raising funds through Whatever It Takes product sales & royalties to pay a small specialised team for over 10 years, which has allowed 21st Century Leaders to help 15 other charities to obtain grants from its network of donors and grant giving organisations, totalling $1.51 million. (2005 to date)

Founding Trade plus Aid South Africa and assisting by setting up the road show which found the financing & funding, raising an initial seed investment of $406k to initiate their domestic clean energy biogas programmes, for the poorest communities. (2009 – 2011)

Assisting The Royal Family of Qatar for The Social Development Centre’s 8th Charity Gala Dinner, introducing 21st Century Leaders’ contacts who created and supplied special auction prizes which generated $755k. (March 2013). Click here for more information.

Assisting Father Emir Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Her Highness Sheikha Mosa bint Nasser Al Missned Al Thani, The Heir Apparent of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani’s charity, Reach Out to Asia, to generate $36.7 million through an auction and pre/post-event sponsorship at the ROTA Royal Gala Dinner event (Nov 06). Due to the success of the first event The Royal Family of Qatar asked 21st Century Leaders to help coordinate a second event raising $25 million. (Oct 2009). Click here for more information.

Assisting Her Royal Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al Missned Al Thani and Sir Bob Geldof with Al Jazeerah TV’s first regional televised telethon appeal raising $12 million in the 8 hour televised appeal. Sheikha Moza then donated a matching fund, raising a total $24 million for the Fakhoora Fund. (Jan 2009) Click here for more information.

Assisting The Governor of Rio to raise $4 million in Rio di Janeiro at the Saúde Crianca Renascer Gala Dinner (the Children’s Health Association) held at The Governor’s palace. (Aug 2008) Click here for more information.
